About Us
We are pleased to announce the formation of the Joseph M. Sorg Foundation, established by a dedicated group of parishioners with the mission of preserving our beloved St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo, NY and ensuring its longevity. This 501(c)(3) tax-exempt foundation is named in memory of Rev. Joseph M. Sorg, who served as pastor during the construction of our present Church and is laid to rest in our Church Hall.
Our Mission

To preserve St. Louis Church, including ongoing projects and significant restorations such as the stained glass windows and roof maintenance.

To raise public awareness and appreciation for the architectural, cultural, historic, and religious significance of St. Louis Church.

To explore the potential of the Church complex as a community center, facilitating programs that enhance local quality of life.
News and Events
St. Ann Triduum Event at St. Louis Church
St. Ann is the patroness of mothers, grandmothers, and single parents. Please join us as we celebrate St Ann.
Friday, July 24th at 6:00 pm, Saturday, July 25th after the 4:00 Mass, and Sunday, July 26th after the 11:00 Mass.
Allen West Festival
Come Join us at the Allen West Festival on June 13th and 14th. This is an off shoot of the Allentown Arts Festival that is hosted by the Allentown Association. The Sorg Foundation will be at booth #91 on both days. Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Come say hello!
In Loving Memory of Father Sal
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Rev. Msgr. Salvatore “Sal” Manganello, J.C.L., S.T.L., following a brief illness. A funeral Mass of Celebration will be held at St. Louis Church on March 18th at 10am. Please join us.

Kneeler Restoration Project
Work is in progress to repair and restore multiple kneelers in the Church that desperately needed attention.
About Donations
The Joseph M Sorg Foundation is an independent entity and your contributions will go directly to the restoration of St. Louis Church. The Joseph M. Sorg Foundation will now oversee the St. Louis Church annual appeal. We are deeply grateful for your generous donations in the past to annual parish appeals, which have enabled both major and minor repairs. We ask for your continued support to this annual appeal through the Sorg Foundation and your continued contributions to the weekly collections at St. Louis Church.
